I need all the college scholarship money i can get, and im a sophomore in high school. I was wondering if it was too early for me to apply and or start researching different scholarships?
thanks a bunch,
Alexis
Alexis, it is wonderful that you are thinking and researching about winning scholarships so early! There are scholarships available for high school students at all levels. The trick is finding them. Go to the library and borrow a few of the big scholarship listing books. In them you will find scholarships organized by your interests, intended college major, race, hobbies, etc…. Each scholarship specifies what level of student can apply for their award. There are lots of scholarships in there for students in high school who are not yet seniors. Also, you can take notes while you are going through the books and you’ll be one step ahead when you are a junior or senior and qualify to apply for those scholarships.
Good luck!!

No, it’s not. Scholarships will say if they are open to high schoolers or a specific grade. Obviously don’t apply for any that are for juniors or seniors. Instead bookmark them and save them until next year.
