Im in high school and when I graduate, I was wondering if there is a scholarship for me if my sister goes to college already, since it will be a little difficult for my family to send two kids to preferably UC’s (my sis is already in the UC system).
Im in high school and when I graduate, I was wondering if there is a scholarship for me if my sister goes to college already, since it will be a little difficult for my family to send two kids to preferably UC’s (my sis is already in the UC system). I want to go to a UC and major in some type of computer engineering. Any scholarships for computer engineering, or a really easy scholarship are also good to. Please answer if you have any scholarship in mind. Thanks
There are tons of scholarships that go unclaimed each year. Many $400, $500 or $1000 scholarships never even get applied for because people think it’s chump change and not worth applying for. Well, get a few of those $500 scholarships and it’ll really make a dent in your tuition bill.
Do a search on scholarships, search your major, your ethnic heritage, your town, your parents employers, your employer, hobbies, high school, local chamber of commerce/rotary/ lion’s club etc. Left-handed? There is a scholarship out there for you! Older woman returning to school? There are scholarships out there for you. Do combined searches on more than one criteria "hispanic women aviation scholarships" etc.
Go to the library and ask the reference librarian for a reference book on scholarships. They usually have more than one. There are all kinds of scholarships out there, you just have to start applying yourself and make it your summer career to send out letters everyday for scholarships. Good luck!

Not sure of actual scholarships, but when you fill out the FAFSA (financial aid application) it takes into account how many people are enrolled in the household. That way, it makes it look like you can afford less and you are eligible for more scholarships/grants, etc.

Check out fastweb.com. I have been using to find scholarships. It’s free. You can pick and choose based on what you are interested in and have done in High School. Also, check with your guidance counselor at school – they usually have info on scholarships. The public libraries usually have a big book of scholarship info, and Check into some of the clubs you are part of (or if you can join some). Junior Rotary members can get scholarships, there are lots of clubs out there. Check around. Good Luck.
