I’m thinking about taking an online college class because I might not have the necessary transportation needed to get to a campus every day.
How do they work?
Not that I would ever cheat but can’t people who take online college classes just look up the answers to the questions on their tests on the various websites on the Internet?
Do you still have to take notes and do homework?
Tell me everything!
Thank you.

If you have an essay test with a time limit, then cheating won’t help you much in the first place and if you cheat in one class you won’t be prepared for the next class.
Your professor communicates with you through discussion boards and e-mails (phone if necessary)
you might all be in class at the exact same time or you might do it as your schedule allows according to the school.
You are given assignments, projects, simulations….
Yes you have to do homework!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well yes you could cheat, but I think it would take more energy to cheat than it would to just learn it. I am sure people do it, but it will only hurt them in the end. I am on my second semester of all online college courses. I absolutely love it. I can log on whenever I want and complete my assignments. That is my favorite part. Usually you are given assignments and you have x amount of time to get them done. For speech class I had to tape my speeches in front of an audience and send the tapes in for a grade. There are several ways you can do this. I live an hour from campus so for me it is beneficial. I do think you need to be able to have what it takes to log in every day and keep up with it. There is no one there telling you to get to class. Go for it. You will like it.

Yes, you still have to take notes and do homework. You could cheat, but the tests are timed. If you spent the time to look up an answer, you wouldn’t have time to answer the rest of the questions. Every assignment has a deadline for submission. You can work ahead, but not behind. If you don’t read the assignments, watch the videos, listen to the lectures and participate in the discussions, the instructor knows it and you won’t pass the course. Yes, someone else could do this for you, but they would have to do all the course work, or you still wouldn’t pass the course…you have to pace yourself. You cannot do all the work for each unit in a day. You have to set aside regular times to be available for the discussions, and regular intervals to do the work or it won’t get done. Just like a regular class, but you don’t have to put your clothes on or do your hair.
